Jason grew up in Ohio and excelled in running at a very young age. He competed in track & field for Delphos Jefferson Sr. High School and Bowling Green State University. He competed at the state level all four years of high school and still holds several records. Jason graduated from The Ohio State University as a professional pilot and now flies for Sun Counrty.
As a result of Jason’s successful running background and interest in coaching, he trained high school students as an assistant track coach in Ohio. In addition to his love for coaching and training, Jason has participated in research studies to help himself and others learn more about the process of intense exercise in a hypoxic state at high altitudes. Jason’s competitive desire didn’t end in college and therefore, he has been competing in triathlon for the last seven years. He has competed in all races from sprint to half iron distances and has earned multiple podium finishes in his age group. He has coached athletes from sprint to ironman distance triathlons. Jason has a wonderful wife and a three year old daughter, therefore he understands how triathlon training can be difficult to juggle between work, family and personal time. Because of Jason’s passion for the sport of triathlon and his desire to help other athletes achieve their goals he has earned his USAT level 1 triathlon coaching certification.T
Cathy came to triathlon coaching after being a Triton Multisports athlete for 2 years. Her love of swim bike and run has motivated her to share her passion and knowledge with others. Cathy has been a competitive swimmer since the age of 9 and has been competing in triathlons since 2001. She has participated in every distance from sprints to Ironmans and achieved many age group and overall podium spots.Cathy enjoys distance running and she aspires to reach Kona one day and also complete an Ultraman.
She also coaches our strength conditioning program for the Rochester Orcas Senior Swim team.
Cathy is married with two young girls and works in town as a dental hygienist. She understands the importance of time management, knows it can be a challenge, but well worth it. She welcomes all ability levels and rounds out the female side of Triton Multisports!Type your paragraph here.
Kris is owner of Triton Multisports. Kris grew up in Louisiana and swam 12 years for Hurricane Swim Club under Coach Ed Kelly. He swam 4 years for Mandeville High School and lettered all 4 yrs. He received a scholarship to swim for Delta State University where he swam for Coach Ronnie Meyers and Brian Hein. While swimming for Delta State he was an NCAA Div. II 5-time All American and 2-time All American consideration. Kris was also team captain his senior year. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management. He competes as a Master swimmer, and enjoys Triathlons. In the last 10 years he has raced and completed every distance of Triathlon from sprint to Ironman. He is a USA level 1 swim coach and works with at Rochester Cycling as a bike Mechanic and is a USAT Level 1 Youth and Adult Certified Triathlon Coach. He also maintains current lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid certifications through the American Red Cross.
